CUT-TECH and SPEED-TECH – new lines of diamond saw blades

2010-10-29
In the last days of October we introduced two new lines of diamond saw blades for powertools,
CUT-TECH and SPEED-TECH series.

CUT-TECH series is characterized by higher segments with high diamond concentration that guarantee longer tool life. CUT-TECH series proves correct in cutting of cobblestone. Further it is used for cutting of such materials like: concrete, clinker brick, constructional ceramic (roofing tiles, bricks).

SPEED-TECH is a series of super fast saw blades with thin and rigid saw body. Small kerf guarantees low cutting reluctance what result in better leading in the material. The saw blades have TURBO segment and cooling slots that compensate the influence of high temperature on saw body during the cutting process.  SPEED-TECH series is designed for cutting of ceramic, marble and gres tiles, also for wet and dry cutting of constructional ceramic (wet cutting on adjusted table cut-off machines)

New saw blades with HM plates for de-barking fresh wood

2009-06-18
At the end of May, we  introduced a new offer of
saw blades for bark removal

These blades are used to remove bark and all impurities from the surface of the cut logs. These tools are used on gang saws equipped with a de-barker, working with a band-saw. Using a de-barker significantly decreases the time spent on manually removing earth, stones and bark from the logs being processed. Using a saw for de-barking makes it possible to extend the life of band-saw's blade.

These professional and specialist saw blades feature discs which guarantee
a high rigidity in difficult work conditions. Their characteristic teeth geometry with
a rake angle of -15 degrees guarantees a suitable  quality and efficiency during exploitation, and the special wide HM plate allows for  reliable and efficient de-barking and dirt removal. Moreover, the specially selected sintered carbide guarantees the longer life of the tool.

New COMFORT trim saw blades with a smooth kerf width adjustment system

2009-04-02
As of  April, we are introducing new COMFORT trim saw blades with a smooth kerf width adjustment system into our regular offer.

With the use of this system, the trim saw's kerf width can be easily and quickly adjusted to match the main saw's kerf width. This system does not require using plates or the disassembly and reassembly of the set which is significant in reducing the time needed for retooling the machine.
Customer tests have indicated that the average time needed to change settings is no more than a fewseconds!  These tests, which were performed by a group of customers cutting chipboard and MDF on horizontal panel saws, show that the smooth kerf width adjustment system guarantees:
  • reduced retooling time
  • precise cuts
  • light trim saw operation
Additional advantages of the system include: long life of the adjustment system and the low weight of its frame, made from a special type
of aluminium.

Trim saw adjustment is achieved thought a ¾ turn of the knob with a kerf width adjustment range of 2,8 – 3,6 mm, without the need of removing the trim saw from the machine's shaft. The COMFORT system makes rigid adjustment possible thanks to the use of a very precise thread. Setting the kerf width is in itself
a very simple procedure consisting of unlocking the adjustment mechanism using a hex key, setting the kerf width by turning a knob and then locking the adjustment mechanism. The hex key is included in the trim saw set. Additionally, the set includes a hex key for disassembling trim saws, and a spacer.

Trims saws which feature the COMFORT smooth adjustment system can be used with main saws with a kerf width range between 2,7mm – 3,5mm.
This system is compatible with most machines available on the market.
When trim saw blades wear out, the system allows for their easy replacement. The smooth adjustment system is available in trim saws with sintered carbide plates
COMFORT HM and trim saws with polycrystalline diamond COMFORT DIA. Our catalogue also offers  replacement saw blade sets.

6th Podlasie Carpentry and Sawmilling Fair

2008-09-24
On September 19th and 20th, 2008, GLOBUS participated in the 6th Podlasie Carpentry and Sawmilling Fair in Białystok, in the centre of the picturesque Podlasie Lowland. The event, which is always met with enthusiasm among the exhibitors and clients, was organized by ELHURT-ELMET. Machines and products from the broadly defined carpentry and timber industry were presented at the Fair. Among the exhibitors were such companies as REMA, ZOTECH, RO-MA, ELMAT, SOMER, BLAUKRAFT, HMT, GOMA and of course GLOBUS from Wapienica. The exhibitors made it possible for visitors to test the presented machines during the Fair.
The Fair’s organizer as well as the representatives of all producers offered professional and specialist assistance. During the Fair, we presented our offer of tools including, among others, carbide circular saw blades, saw blades for power tools, regular circular saw blades, shank cutters, drill bits and hand-held tools.
Tools for processing wood-based materials were very popular with the visitors, especially the promotion of GLOTECH MARATHON saw blades, mostly due to the fact that most of the visitors were representatives of companies from the carpentry and furniture industries. The Fair was also an excellent occasion to present the new assortment of GLOBUS products, which has been a part of our offer for some time now.
Many visitors have said that the Fair was well organized, confirming at the same time a need for organizing another edition next year.
